Project Description: Riverwood International Charter School was constructed in three phases. Brasington Bailey was the drywall subcontractor on Phase 1, featured here, which opened in 2017, as well as Phase 2. Phase 1 involved the new construction of a 112,500 square foot addition to the property with 30 classrooms as well as office spaces.
Scope of Work: Cold-formed metal framing, non-structural metal framing, acoustical ceilings, drywall, sheathing, EIFS and specialty wood ceilings.
Special Challenges: Brasington Bailey was tasked with framing the roof of this structure. Due to the roof’s complexity and size, the trusses were custom-built on site to ensure a quality result.

As President of Brasington Bailey, Doug Dillard plays an integral role in all aspects of the business including sales, estimating, project management, client relations and strategic planning. Before coming to Brasington Bailey in 2019, Doug held several positions with a large general contractor including Field Engineer Superintendent and Self Perform Trades Manager. This enabled him to gain first-hand knowledge of what it takes to make a project successful from our customer’s point-of-view. From sales and cost management to estimating and production management, Doug’s insight helps our company understand the challenges that our customers face and offer practical solutions to positively impact their bottom line. Doug is an especially valuable resource during pre-construction planning, assisting with budgeting early on to minimize surprises and unforeseen costs later.

Prior to co-founding Brasington Bailey in 2013, Eric had a long-standing career in the construction industry. He was first introduced to the fundamentals of construction at a young age by working with his father. In the early 1990’s, while attending the Southern College of Technology in Marietta, he went to work for one of Atlanta’s large specialty contractors.
Today, Eric leads Brasington Bailey on its mission of being the drywall subcontractor of choice for its customers. He is dedicated to building and maintaining successful working relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors and employees. It is these relationships that have made Brasington Bailey the organization it is today.
